My family has a fair skin, especially mum, me and my first sibling. However, I’m just a human being with imperfections.
My Filipino friends in the UK used to asked, me when they see me drinking a supplement, what it was that I was taking. (It could be my vitamin C, supplement for digestion, etc.) But, in the Philippines, when someone see me drinking a supplement, they asked quite different. They say, is that a gluta?/ Is that for whitening?
I never tried any whitening supplements before. My fiancĂ© once did and his cousin. I don’t think it worked. It was luxxe white by the way. If it worked for you, please drop a comment below!
I just have to use whitening products because of my tan line. I’ve done my university placement to America, yeah, very far away from home, in the UK, I was a pool attendant.
I got so tanned, that you can still see the tan lines on some parts of my body. And to be honest, I’ve tried several whitening lotions, soaps and scrub to whiten those parts... Maybe it was because of those that it’s not so visible anymore? Or maybe the skin regenerate itself, after all these years. I’m not completely sure myself. But, all I know is, I want a complete even skin tone.
Another story is when I find shaving our underarms quick and easy, you know what happened next.
I just found a great product that helped it whiten up a bit. It’s an oil called Instant Hydration Body Oil, from Holland Barett (UK).
Haven’t seen a similar product in the Philippines or in Japan. I used to apply only this, no need to apply any deodorant since I’m mostly at home, which adds to the whitening part. That’s why it’s so sad, since it worked on my underarms well.
The only problem is, after I finish the oil, it won’t be available here in Japan. So, what product can I use as a replacement? Also, I want a product that I could take internally, since I’m getting fed up on re applying those lotions/ oil 2x a day. I want a product that smooths my skin and brigthens pigmentation and not whiten my already fair skin. To be honest, I sometimes find my skin odd and scary.
Here’s an example, from the photo below. I look like an asian ghost (like my skin is dead, like I’m a vampire compared to my friends), it literally gives me chills.
So there you go. It did not contradict what I said about my perception of Natural Beauty (you can read my posts about it by searching ‘natural beauty’ at the bottom of the page.
That’s all, until next time.
