UK Passport Withdrawal FAQS

This is base on my experience, answers you may not find in the internet.

You have to send a letter if you want to withdraw your Passport Application.

If for some reasons, you have to withdraw your application after they processed it, you have to send them a letter by post on this address:

HM Passport Office
PO Box 767
Southport
PR8 9PW

Don’t forget to write down your reference number. 

If the requested documents/ photographs are not received by (date) the application will be withdrawn and you will lose the fee paid.

This is the second option, if you don’t urgently need your passport or other documents back.  It turns out that, they automatically sent back all my supporting documents on that given date too.

How long would it take to get my supporting documents back?

Normally a week. In some cases it may take up to 2 weeks. 

Can I track my documents?

The answer is no. But, I  received a phone call from DHL, saying I will receive my parcel on the next day, with specific hours. It took exactly 7 days  to get mine.
