Today, I’ll be talking about my best skincare routine in the UK. I have a Combination skin, which means I usually get dry patches on my face, as well as excessive oil on my T-zone. I love shopping on boots, since they offer a wide range of products of almost everything.
According to my research, Nivea has been around for more than 100 years! This was the first skincare used by the whole family in 1911. It’s still popular up to this date, since Nivea Creme is widely used all over the world.
Morning Routine
Cleanser
Nivea Gentle Exfoliating Face scrub
According to my research, it’s recommended to exfoliate those with combination skin. Nivea is a very gentle scrub that I could use everyday. My brother as well use this everyday. Some say that it’s soapy and didn’t feel like it’s exfoliating enough, therefore didn’t like it. But to me, it proves that I could use it everyday instead of exfoliating 2-3x a week.
Toner
After using the toner, I didn’t get any tight feeling like I used with the previous toners I’ve used.
Moisturiser With SPF
Nivea Age Spot Day Cream
There are three reasons why I started using this.
* Claims to prevent dark spots - Which I used to have on my neck.
* SPF 30 - According to a dermatologist, SPF 15 doesn’t offer enough protection. Moreover, to get that total SPF protection is to put a half teaspoon of product on the face.
* Cheap - Affordable moisturisers with an SPF 30 is hard to find. Starting price normally at £39.
Because I’m allergic to chocolates, yes you read that right, after eating chocolates, spots starts to show on my lower face and neck (another factor is when I sleep really late). This is my photo before using this product, it worked after a several weeks later.
I applied this moisturizer on my face and neck like I normally would, but twice. The purpose of this is to get that half teaspoon of the cream on my face, just what the dermatologist said. After, I dab another amount on the spots, just like what you would on spot treatments.
Night time Routine
I actually bought the anti wrinkle night cream. But then again, I was only on my 20’s, therefore realised that I don’t need it yet, instead I bought some Nivea Creme for me and my dad, since I think he needs it...
After cleansing and toning I used Nivea Creme. It’s very rich and nourishing, that I would look like a fish after applying (haha). Anyway, I would then dab the anti age spot cream on the spots I wanted to disappear again.
Final Thoughts:
Been using Nivea products for half a year until I moved out of the UK. I have packed a few of them with me, in case they don’t have it in Japan. The Nivea age spot cream is the only moisturiser that made my neck clear and actually prevented spots on coming back, thus I don’t have to force myself on not eating those delicious chocolates!
UPDATE:
Aside from the Nivea Creme, there is no Nivea Age Spot Cream or any other range in Japan.
Nevertheless, I’m excited to try some Japanese products, since they’re known worldwide for quality and value for money. Surely, I will keep Nivea Creme on my night time Routine though.
