1 month no work Covid-19 | Tips/ advice for you

Sunday, 22 March 2020

Some companies here in Japan temporarily stop on employing most of their non permanent workers, maybe because I’m one of them. Eiji’s auntie, who lives here for several years already. And I’m pretty sure his uncle too, which is a half Japanese as well so, that’s the effect of Covid on some employers here in Japan.

We stopped working and might come back on April... Crossed fingers!

Since we are advised to stay at home, there are ways you could still do to save money and earn extra money at home. Here are some examples of what I’m doing or would want to do:

Make a strict budget: You can cut down money by removing things like going out nowadays, so going shopping, eating out, etc. You have to figure out your wants and needs.
Find wats to save at home: We are on a survival mode, of not getting infected by going out into crowded place, for example. Ways such as to save money and earn cash back online is possible. I used to use TopCashback in the UK. While you can use Shopback in the Philippines.
Dropshipping: This is a buy and sell kind of work. What’s good about this is that you don’t have to go out to buy the item and go to the post office to deliver the item.

All you have to do for dropshipping, for instance, is to  download Lazada app. Find the product of your choice, such as DHC Collagen. Find the cheapest product, then advertise and sell it on Facebook (on a higher price of course, but don’t exaggerate, be reasonable). When the buyer buys it from you, you can then go back to Lazada to buy the cheapest item you saw earlier. So, buy that item and deliver it to your customer’s home address. Lazada will be doing most of the job for you (or the seller of Lazada hehe). Just make sure you read the reviews as well. Always check the customer’s feedbacks!

No need to buy and use a blender to get healthy drinks

Monday, 1 April 2019

I want to drink healthy, but don’t want to spend money and time making it. I found a great alternative!

I used to drink protein shakes and that stopped when I moved in Japan. I wanted to try making smoothies and all, especially when I saw this advertisement on Facebook, called Blendjet. You can make smoothies or protein shakes anytime, anywhere. But then again, what if I don’t want to spend money for something I might get tired of doing?

Then I saw this fruit and vegetable drink in Japan.

Kagome is a popular brand in Japan, founded in 1899. This is my second bottle, and my favourite. It’s more of a grape flavour. The first I’ve tried is an orange one. But, I can barely taste it, it’s more of a something else, maybe carrot?

Anyway, what I love about this is that, it’s made from 20 kinds of vegetables and 6 kinds of fruits! No need to do your daily grocery shopping, no need to buy any blender, less dishes. Plus, it’s less than £3 each (780ml). Who wouldn’t love it?

You can choose from a several flavours and according to my hubby, the ones in cartons (1 liter) are cheaper, which costs less than £2.

If you live outside Japan, this may cost more, but still the easy, cheapest and healthy alternative. Or you may find a similar brand that is locally available. Kindly share it in the comment section. Thanks 😊

How I earn money after shopping

Friday, 11 January 2019

We shop daily to get our essential needs. On this post, I am going to talk about how I get extra money after shopping online. Most of the people are already doing this, when they don’t have a time to pop to the shops, they quickly buy it online. So if you make a purchase every now and then, why not try this?

If you already have Topcashback or Shopback, then well done! And I’m sorry, that would be the topic I wanted to share for today. This is purely about Topcashback, but read on if you want to briefly know what it is and how it works.

Topcashback (UK, USA) or Shopback (Singapore, Australia, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand) allows you to earn some money back you purchase online.

Photos below shows my 10 weeks shopping and earnings.

My lowest and highest earnings:

From time to time they also give a cash bonus when you buy during those events.

Out of those 8 transactions, I have earned a total of £15.31. However, I have only cashed out £10.31,  I’ll tell you why later.

Here’s the simple steps on how you can earn yours after shopping online.

  1. Register (free) and become a member.
  2. After you logged in, browse and choose the retailer you want to buy from.
  3. Click “Get cashback” button and you will be redirected to its website.
  4. The retailer pays Topcashback a commission from your purchase, which Topcashback sends it back to you as earnings.
Now, if you’re thinking, how come they send back all the commission to us? How do they earn money in return?

Topcashback mission is to make us a loyal customer and of course use them every time we shop online. Moreover, there are two membership levels in which I am a ‘Plus member’ (costs £5 of our annual cashbacks). Plus members get higher cashback rates or additional bonus for example, which Classic members are limited to.
