Do you value what you have, make ways to improve it, rather than change it?
By focusing on making your skin soft and smooth, for example. No matter what skin color you have, whether you have freckles, keeping your skin flawless and glowing is attractive, isn’t it?
You can achieve this by drinking lots of fluids, getting enough sleep, choosing the right products, food and even supplements.
I could remember several years ago, I find it odd that most of the women in the Philippines put a fair foundation on, even though they have a brown or dark skin. It was pretty weird, having a white face with brown neck and body.
I actually found an article of the Filipino obsession over the white skin, you can read it here if you’re interested:

To make it worse, I watched a video where women are using this whitening product. After applying their makeup, they would use this whitening cream on their neck and arms to look white. What a waste of time and money.
You know, we make our own decisions. We should stop putting ourselves under so much pressure; strict diets to lose weight, obsession with whiter skin as Asians, while tan skin is a beauty standard in Europe. (Yes, you read that right, we have tanning shops in the UK, even tanning lotions, weird huh?)
Why is it, that, everyone wants something that they don’t have? Moreover, why do things, just because others are telling you to do or just because they are doing it as well? Why not do it because it’s healthy, do it because it could benefit you.
Remember, we are all unique. How can others see that beauty, if you can’t see it yourself?
