Why Exercise is important

Importance of exercise 

Remember, exercise is about improving your wellbeing and making your body healthy, fit and strong. Therefore, if you want a healthy body, you should make this a hobby.

For instance, when I live in the Philippines. I exercise there daily around 45 minutes a day. Plus, two short workouts to tone up my body. I don’t do any rest days. Until, one day, I got tired of exercising. After three days without exercising, my motivation returned. And so, I decided to work out at home again. Guess what, after doing the first few minutes of my workout routine, I couldn’t keep up anymore like I used to. I am already tired and panting like it was my first time exercising.

Think about exercise like charging a phone. If you don’t maintain charging your phone, it becomes low battery and will eventually stop working. Likewise, if you don’t exercise, your body will slowly stop working the way you want it to.

One time, we decided to drop off one of our friend’s to her apartment. She lives on the fourth floor, no elevator. I followed her and I was the second one to get there. When the other two arrives, one asked me, how come I’m fast and don’t pant like they do. Must be because I exercise daily. While that friend who lives there get to walk down and up the stairs daily (in addition to her lightly active job 5x a week).  Therefore, she can walk upstairs fast like I do.

It’s amazing how walking improves your stamina, strengthens your feet, knees and hips.
